Parents may borrow PLUS loan funds up to a student's budget minus all other financial aid resources. Credit checks for the academic year begin in late June. Instructions for filling out the Consortium Agreement
To receive Financial Aid from the University of Idaho while attending both Idaho and another institution or solely attending another institution, a Consortium Agreement Form must be completed.

Section I - To be completed by the visiting student. This consortium agreement must have the name and address of the other institution the student will be attending. By completing this section in its entirety, UI will be able to process this agreement in a timely manner. Note that a consortium agreement is good for one term only.
Section II - To be completed by the visiting institution. After the student completes Section I, the financial aid office at the school the student is visiting must complete Section II. By completing this section, the visiting institution agrees to provide grade transcripts at the end of the term of classes the student attended. Receipt of these transcripts for each term will determine academic progression at the University of Idaho.
The visiting school must send the completed form to the Registrar's office at the University of Idaho. The address this form should be mailed to is:

Section III - to be completed by the Office of Registrar, University of Idaho. The Registrar's office has final authority as to whether the credits taken at the visiting institution will be accepted toward the student's degree at the University of Idaho. If these credits are not acceptable, the student will be notified by the UI office of Student Financial Aid Services that these credits cannot be used toward the receipt of financial aid.
